Saturday 17th November – Lagos

This morning we were pleased to hear that Wolf and Barbara (Sedna) have arrived safely at Graciosa in the Canaries.

After breakfast we went to the Saturday market and then wandered down to the front to watch the surf crashing onto the beach.  On the way back we went to see the old slave market, now used only for art exhibitions.  It is a 17th century building built on remains from the 15th century; not very big so hopefully not too many slaves.

We met Anne from Wandering Dragon on the way back – Stephen is still fighting off a bug of some sort but on the mend, and YoYo the cat is in trouble for going off exploring.

This afternoon Peter and Carolla popped over and helped us with some port before we all went to the marina hotel for our pre-dinner internet surf; port is the new rosado on Moonshadow.

This evening I cooked a Chinese meal using a black pepper sauce introduced to us by a work colleague of Richard’s – great stuff, thanks Nancy.
