Friday 23rd November – Lagos

Last night was live music night again at LazyJacks.  We met up with Peter and Carola from Moonshadow and went for a walk around Lagos town centre to see the Christmas lights before calling in.  Gavin and Cath from Blue Elephant arrived at the bar as well.  It was 2.15am by the time we left and so we were a bit tired today.

This afternoon I did some washing, between rain showers, so the washing is hanging in the cockpit enclosure to dry – not an ideal washing day but we needed some clean clothes!

After dinner this evening we went around to see Stephen and Anne on Wandering Dragon; rather than a scrabble re-match, we took tri-onimoes and managed to lose gracefully at that as well.

When we came back to Pyxis, it was not the end of day for us.  It is Carola’s birthday tomorrow and so we had a plan.  We blew up a load of balloons, tied them into bunches and took them round to Moonshadow at 2am, judging that they would be asleep by then.  We silently dressed the boat and sneaked home to bed.  We’re just hoping the wind doesn’t blow them away before the morning!
