Today somebody broke the weather.  Obviously we don’t like to point the finger of blame BUT Nocturne’s in-laws arrived from the North East of England today and we think they brought it with them.  Tomorrow I think I need to ask them how long they are staying!

The morning was very grey so it lent itself to a leisurely breakfast with a chance for some reading now I have a few more books.

This afternoon we decided it was time for a walk.  Well, Richard wanted to go to the hypermarket on the edge of town as the large supermarkets here have tools and household stuff; it turned out to be a three mile trek through a concrete jungle.  As we headed off, we could hear a few rumbles of thunder in the distance but we were not to be put off.

As we finally headed back to the marina the rain started to fall, those big wet drops that go straight through whatever you are wearing; then this evening it gave way to a full and spectacular thunderstorm with heavy rain.

We are hoping normal service is resumed tomorrow.
