We had a quiet night and this morning the water was still, clear and looking wonderful.  After a quick breakfast I was in the water for a swim and went for a snorkel around the boat, watching the shoals of small fish who seem to like being in the shelter of Pyxis.

As I was reading in the cockpit we had a visitor swim to us from a yacht across the bay; we hadn’t seen the boat and so was surprised to hear someone calling us.  It turned out it was Ian from Northern Lights, we had met Ian and his wife Helen when we wintered in Lagos and not seen them since.  It was great to see him and catch up on all the news – what a small world it is.

Later Richard went for a potter around the bay in the dinghy to explore and I then joined him for a look around; it is a lovely spot though quite busy being the height of the season.

Today has been a relaxing day with some swimming and reading in the sunshine.

As usual, the wind got up late afternoon and this evening there was the usual influx of boats to fill up the bay.

Two boats came in together, one parked where our neighbour was last night but then the other yacht decided to come in between us rather than go the other side.  It is now parked a little too close for comfort and being blown down; I have put out the fenders as he has also only bothered with one shore line (which is three ropes joined together - yikes) whereas everyone else in the entire bay has two lines ashore, one from each quarter!
