Sunday 19th August – Morgat

Last night we had pizza on board as it was quite late by the time we had finished working on the boat.  Out of curiosity we tried the tv to see if it worked – it’s the same the world over on a Saturday night, the options were: NCIS (dubbed – looked like an episode I’d missed), Law and Order SVU (dubbed) and a terrible reality TV show (three men doing anything to get on TV – sadly they were singing when we tuned in).  So, it was a game of Tri-onimoes for us instead.

The wind filled in last night from the north-west and has blown strongly all day solidly – fortunately it has stayed dry for the most part.

After breakfast (having tried Suisse au chocolat as well as pain au chocolat) we went for a walk along the coastal path towards the Cap de la Chevre – we didn’t go all the way there as it was quite a hike and very hilly.

Once we were on the path, it was very sheltered from the wind and the sun was out.  We had a lovely walk; it was very scenic and gave us a good view of the caves along the edge of the coastland and took us past the lighthouse and old fortifications.  We saw a red squirrel at one point; unfortunately by the time we had the camera out, it had scurried up a nearby tree and was jumping across the tree-tops.

As we rounded the corner on the way back, we found the wind again - we put our coats back on.
