Last night the band started as advertised at Fraggle Rock and could be heard clearly across the Sound until quite late. We recognised quite a few old favourites before we turned in.

This morning, as it was raining (quite hard at times) and windy, we declared a ‘Duvet Day’ and had a quiet day aboard Pyxis uncoupling the alternator regulator for return, catching up with admin, topping up the main fuel tank from the jerry cans, and catching up on some book and puzzles.

We had a late, lazy lunch with a bottle of extremely good Rioja courtesy of my good friend Tony who kindly despatched us on our travels with some essential supplies.

As our neighbour has been fishing too, I casually asked him this evening if he had caught anything.  “No”, he said, “the mackerel don’t get in this far” – so obviously doing well with the one I caught the other night.  Apparently there are sea bass to be had further out.

The wind is due to get up further this evening and come round further west so tonight promises to be quite uncomfortable on the mooring as New Grimsby Sound is exposed to swell from the north west – its already getting a bit rolly but at least the sun has come out for a while and we can enjoy the beautiful evening sunset.
