Tuesday 8th July – Punta de l’ Avançada, Mallorca

A much better night last night; slightly cooler, with no parties and no strong gusts of wind we were able to get a good nights’ sleep.

Once again this morning the sea plane was out on manoeuvres – we wonder if it is each weekday.

Before lunch we went into town on the dinghy and found a couple of larger supermarkets but we didn’t really need much and came back quite light on the bags.  It was just as well as the wind and swell had increased and so we had steady run around the inside of the bay back to Pyxis.

After lunch it was time for a mid afternoon relax (whilst Richard sorted out some comms issues), followed by coffee on Moonshadow, and then back for a little sun before dinner.

Entertainment was provided by Richard this evening who went out on the dinghy whilst I was in the shower.  He went out to the point to look at the swell outside the bay and then back to check out the restaurant on the beach just down the bay from us.  Unfortunately as he came back up past the sea plane station he ran out of fuel – it appears the last couple of runs to town have taken quite a lot of fuel.  Just as he got out the oars to row the short leg back, Peter spotted him and went to the rescue in his rib boat.  I came up from my shower to find all the excitement over but Carola has the evidence on camera J

This evening we have had a quiet dinner on board.
