The weather has continued very hot with little wind to cool us down.  We have been pottering around carrying on with wintering jobs on Pyxis. 

 

The deck and sides have now had a good wash and wax as Richard managed to find the car accessory shop open and get some cleaner earlier in the week.  We have also managed to get the remaining rust spots off the deck.

 

The dinghy is now cleaned and packed away for the winter.  We think we have found the problem with the high pressure base which was causing it to deflate and have made a repair that we will try next time we blow the dinghy up. 

 

We have fished out the old sprayhood and cockpit enclosure - the stitching and windows are not in a good way but we have made a few repairs which may mean it will keep the worst of the winter weather off the boat and allow us to store the new ones away.  We will see if it falls apart when we try to fit it and then decide.

 

The cushion covers and curtains down below are all looking cleaner and smelling fresher after a trip through the washing machine J
