Thursday 4th October – Cascais

Today we had a quiet day and I did some washing.  This afternoon we decided to have a look around the Citadel in Cascais however it was closed as they were preparing it for the Lisbon fashion show which is being held here next week.

When we returned we were invited to drinks on the Canadian Beneteau 393 next to us along with some more Canadians we had met in Baiona.  It was great to hear the experiences they have had.

This evening, Carolla and Pedder on Moonshadow organised a leaving party for us on their boat along with Barbara and Wolf from Sedna.  We have decided to move on tomorrow and they are both staying on for a few more days – this will be the first time we have travelled without Moonshadow since we left La Coruña.  Pedder has threatened to chain Pyxis to the pontoon, so we’ll let you know if we make it.

All the boats are getting along so well, and so another pontoon party is arranged for tomorrow evening.  It’s tempting to stay but we want to make towards Cabo Sao Vincent whilst the weather is fair.
