Monday 1st October – Cascais

Another 393 arrived in the marina and parked beside us today.  It is owned by a Canadian couple and is the American version of the boat.  Amazingly the husband had sailed it across the Atlantic with some of his friends; the wives (perhaps more sensibly) flew over to join them once they had arrived.  It will be interesting to see the differences between the American and European spec.

A pontoon BBQ was suggested for the evening and so we made an excursion to town to get some supplies.  This time we discovered the hypermarket – it’s massive and sells everything.  We thought about buying a new de-humidifier but weren’t sure how we’d get it back to the boat.

The BBQ was a success with quite a few boats joining in and festivities went on until 0430 which is why this report is a little late.
