This morning we said goodbye to Cape as they left for a few days island hopping with Johann and Christine.

We would have loved to have joined them but we decided to stay on and enjoy the luxury of the facilities here and make the most of catching up on jobs needing electricity and water such as defrosting the fridge, vacuuming the boat, baking some bread in the bread maker, filling the water tanks, rinsing the deck,...

… the batteries also appear to be much happier after a night on charge and are still charging.

Richard put the generator back together hoping that threatening it with a screwdriver might have done the trick as he couldn’t see anything obvious that needed attention; unfortunately it is still not producing any power though the engine is running well.  It looks like some major surgery may now be required – but not today.

We also chatted to our neighbours across the pontoon and discovered that the reason we each recognise the boats is because we were both in Lagos at the same time; small world.

Late afternoon, once again we went and sat by the pool, reading and swimming to cool off – great.

This evening we have enjoyed dinner on board, with homemade sesame bread and Karen’s extra garlic tzatziki, sitting up in the cockpit.  After dinner Richard has caught up on some internet work whilst I have finished my book.
