Tuesday 9^th June – Siracusa (Syracuse), Sicily

We slept well after our long day touring Etna.  Today there has been little wind and it has got very hot again.  We have spent the day doing work around the boat – cleaning, tidying and catching up with blogs. 

Richard has made a few runs ashore in the dinghy, first for provisions and then with the jerry cans to get some fresh water for the tanks – the water is a bit murky where we are anchored so we don't want to run the water maker.

Tonight I have pulled out a fishing line and dropped it over the side along with a couple of other anchored boats and some of the locals in their small fishing boats – there are fish jumping put of the water all over the place but not onto any of the lines.
