Wednesday 13th May – Monastir, Tunisia

Today we were up early (again L) and off to take the P’s to the airport for their trip home.  They have had a great time but I think they are looking forward to a rest.

Monastir:  Morning by the marina; P’s depart

We have had a day doing a bit of tidying aboard but mostly sorting through the large number of photos from our trip and selecting some for the blog.

This afternoon Richard decided on some exercise and took a walk down the coast to the large new fishing harbour.  It turned out to be quite a trek – next time he will go by bike!  At the harbour he met our neighbour from Bizerte who is having some work done there.  There is a massive 250 ton travel-hoist for the fishing boats which is also used to lift yachts – it dwarfed the yacht inside it.  Richard also decided that the chocking arrangements for the boats on the hard were a bit more novel than we would be comfortable with.

Monastir:  Fishing port – with massive travel-hoist and boats chocked on oil drums
