We got up this morning and thought, we have definitely come far enough south now. We had breakfast in the cockpit in shorts and swimwear – it was already hot enough at 8am!
We decided on giving Pyxis a good clean and tidy up, we opened all the hatches and gave down below a good airing; Richard rigged the passerelle whilst I cleaned and all was well with the world.
Then, just after lunch, the clouds approached with menace. Then it rained. Yes, rain. I seriously think I should be selling my services to the drought-ridden countries of the world. Then the thunder arrived – I can hear you all laughing now.
Anyway, the rain has cleared away and it has stayed warm. We have finished the cleaning and tidying plus a few other odd jobs.
Con and Barb from Big Sky came around late afternoon for a sun-downer and we chewed the fat over what each of us has been doing since we last met, this time last year.
This evening I made curry with some onion flatbreads (recipe courtesy of Sarah on Cape) which went down very well.
