Monday 20th April – Bizerte, Tunisia (Rain?  In Africa?)

37:16.424N 9:52.819E

Just before breakfast the rain started and it drizzled most of the day, harder rain at times.  By late afternoon the rain stopped and so Richard and Otwin went on a couple of trips to the fuel station with cans to top up on the very cheap fuel here.

I ventured as far as the cockpit with a book and watched the rain and this evening as the sun came out in time for a sun-downer, we trotted over to Enya for a drink before heading back to Pyxis for dinner.

Electricity has not appeared and so we are using the engine to top up the batteries and get hot water for showers, just as though we were at anchor – bizarrely, with the price of fuel here, this works out cheaper than paying for the electricity, even if they did have it.
