Saturday 4th April – Cagliari (Learning splicing)

We were up early to take Chris to the airport in one of the marina cars.

When we returned we finished breakfast and I managed some time reading in the cockpit as it turned into a lovely hot and sunny day.

This afternoon David and Sarah were sorting out Cape’s ropes on the pontoon.  David popped by and gave me an impromptu lesson in rope splicing.  So I spent some time splicing a loop in the end of our new rope – I didn’t wake up expecting to learn how to splice ropes today, but there you go, a useful thing to know on a boat, and very satisfying to see the finished product!

Late this evening we made pizza and watched DVDs on board.
