Monday 30th March – Cagliari (Polishing and anodes)

39:12.197N 9:07.640E

Today I polished the propeller with wax to try to discourage crustaceans and had a mammoth washing up session as we had been through every plate on the boat.

Richard changed the large anode that protects the engine and then polished the sides of Pyxis just above the waterline where we have a blue stripe so she is looking a bit smarter now.

Once again it was a glorious day and Delores was on hand with ‘hair of the dog’ beers mid afternoon.

We had various visitors during the day popping up to check on progress and give support.

This evening Richard used up a bit more of the remaining antifoul on the leading edges of the boat and then headed off to the chandlery as our anodes for the fridge had arrived.  With these now fitted we are ready to go back in the water J

We finished late and after eating promptly fell asleep.
