Sunday 29th March – Cagliari (More anti-fouling)

This morning we donned our protective gear and finished the first coat of anti-fouling.  Around lunchtime, Delores brought some beer round and we all had a welcome break from our exertions.

Most of the remaining anti-foul was then used to put on a second coat, starting with the water line which seems to lose the anti-foul fastest.

Late afternoon it was then time to take the masking tape off to reveal the straight edge along the hull.  We invited Delores and Preben (Typhon) to join us for the ‘reveal’ and we opened a bottle of wine to celebrate our first effort at anti-fouling Pyxis ourselves; the sun was still warm and we enjoyed the rest of the afternoon relaxing and chatting.

This evening we went to the gazebo to join the surprise birthday party for Lynn (Mascot3).  The evening went very well and we danced and chatted well into the early hours.
