Friday 20th March – Cagliari (Bethany’s Birthday Party)

Today was a busy day.  We were up early because there was a possibility that the yard would be clear enough and the weather good enough for us to be hauled out.

We stowed away the things that would not survive the haul out; Richard disconnected the hose and satellite cable and cleaned them off where they had dipped in the water over the winter.  We then realised that the weather was closing in fast and the haul out would not be happening.

The wind picked up and then late afternoon a thunderstorm passed by in the distance (fortunately it didn’t actually hit us).

I cracked on with a few jobs, grabbed a break for a bit of painting and then made a cake for this evening as Bethany was having a birthday party in the gazebo.

We had dinner early and then went up to the gazebo to put up some balloons ready for the party, stopping to tie a few on the passerelle of Cape as we went.  Everyone turned up with lots of cakes and we all had a really good time trying out the different cakes and playing balloon volleyball and other party games, including a game of twister.

For the adults it turned into a very late night…
