Monday 2^nd March – Cagliari (Not a day of rest yet)

We were up early again to take the hire car back. 

As we needed to return the car with a full tank of fuel, it was a good opportunity to take the spare fuel cans for the boat and fill them up as well (the fuel at the fuel dock on the other side of the harbour is very expensive).  We drove out to the Le Vele (Carrefour) shopping mall via the ring road; having only been there previously by bus through town it proved surprisingly quick and there were great views over the lagoon.  Having successfully refuelled, we dropped the fuel cans for the boat off at the marina, picked up trolley and took the hire car back to town. 

We then headed off to a supermarket in town to stock up with a few fresh provisions.  As we walked back along the harbour front, we bumped into Otwin and Rosi heading the other way.

Once back in the marina we unpacked and Richard topped up the main fuel tank on Pyxis before stowing the spare cans.  We then tried to take a rest with a coffee but cleaning beckoned down below and we spent the afternoon tidying and cleaning down below.

A quiet evening was needed and hopefully a lie in the morning for a change.
