It was pleasantly sunny, warm and dry for a nano-second this afternoon and so we went to the nearby Christmas fair; it was quite impressive – all the stalls are displaying and/or selling local hand made products: cheese, lacework, carvings, paintings, clothing and cakes.  By the time we came out the storm clouds had returned and so we returned hastily to the marina.

This evening Wandering Dragon invited us to a fondue on Pyxis i.e. they brought over the essentials for a fondue (lots of cheese) and we provided the fondue and cooked dinner.  Richard was a bit perturbed though as we were dipping broccoli as well as bread in the fondue and he kept finding bits of said green vegetable in the cheese.

The fondue was actually a pretext to sit and watch the start of ‘24’ as Stephen and Anne have just returned with the series.  So after eating we loaded up the DVD player and settled down to watch.

Unfortunately we had a very small amount of limoncella, the local lemon liquor, to finish.  By chance we had discovered it is better ‘dried’ with a splash of gin and Wandering Dragon were interested in trying it.

Suffice to say this was the start of a slippery slope and we only managed one episode of ‘24’.
