Friday 3rd October – Cagliari

We were up at a reasonable hour this morning as Richard is getting twitchy about us having no internet access here at the moment.  After breakfast he went into town with Gary, one of the residents here, who has been very helpful since we arrived and was marvellous, taking Richard to a shop and helping with the Italian for ‘Can this guy have a 3G data card for his laptop please’.  Richard came back and installed it – we are now waiting for it to be activated.

Meanwhile I started on the washing and put some of it out to dry early afternoon; the weather was warm and sunny and I was hoping that it would dry quickly.  However, not long after Richard returned from town, the wind suddenly increased and we could see some very black clouds approaching fast.  I whipped the half dry washing in just before the rain poured down – it was quite a heavy shower and we recorded a maximum wind speed of 36.8 knots – not a bad blow.

Tonight we popped to the marina bar for a drink to meet up with some of the other folk staying in the marina.
