Buon giorno

As expected, the man from the harbour authority arrived soon after 8am and said we needed to move to one of the marinas.  So Richard and David went for a walk into town and arranged a berth at one of the marinas for us.

When they returned, we slipped our mooring and motored the short distance across the harbour to the marina; we have very nice berths right next to the entrance to the marina and close to town.  It is two months now since we were last alongside in a marina with water and electricity.

This afternoon we went for a walk around the town. The streets are all narrow, cobbled or paved with terraces of houses down each side and washing hanging out over the road from small balconies.

As we were walking past a café somebody called us over; it was a couple from a yacht that Richard & David had spoken to whilst seeking out a berth, they were just checking we had got sorted out at the marina.  They have spent a lot of time in the area and were a mine of information.

We can see why it is a popular tourist spot in the summer, apparently up to a couple of weeks ago the place was packed; now we get to wander around in peace.

We found a supermarket not far from the marina and bought a few fresh provisions and then went back for an early dinner.

After dinner, David and Sarah popped round for a drink and we chatted and drank our way through the night.
