Saturday 21st July – River Yealm (Newton Ferrers) - Plymouth

50:21.854N 4:07.915W

Today we left the river and had a short but very pleasant sail to Plymouth where we need to get some more victuals (food & drink).  Now berthed in Queen Anne’s Battery ready for the next wave of bad weather (due tomorrow).

Been for a walk around the Hoe this evening – including the statue of Sir Francis Drake and Smeaton’s tower (lighthouse). Planning to return to town again tomorrow for a tour of the Plymouth Gin distillery.

It’s mackerel again for dinner tonight (courtesy of Karen’s fishing skills – though they were practically committing suicide) though suspect Richard is going to mutiny if he doesn’t get some sort of meat on the plate soon (can the skipper mutiny ?).
