Friday 25th July – Sant Elm, Mallorca (Isla Dragonera)

Last night we were able to get some sleep until around 3.30am when the rolling began.  We went on deck to see a fleet of large fishing vessels going past in convoy some way out but sending wash our way.  Finally we were able to settle again and had a late morning to catch up.

Midday we took the dinghy down the coast to Puerto de Andraitx to re-fuel it and to get in fresh meat and fish. The swell from the passing motor-boats always adds to the challenge.

After lunch we then took the dinghy over to the small island that we are moored off; it is called Isla Pantaleu and has a small sign with small print announcing it as a nature reserve with no landing.

We then took the longer run across the passage to the impressive island of Isla Dragonera and landed at the small quay in Cala Lladó for a short walk around in the afternoon sun.  We took one of the shorter trails up to a spectacular viewing point but as we hadn’t taken the camera, we’ll have to visit again J

This evening an occasional swell continues to roll in making doing anything around the boat a challenge; the wind has dropped but swung around so what little there is is trying to put us across the swell again L

Tonight we have eaten on deck in the cooler air but tonight the mossies seem to be out in force as well.  It’s not all paradise!
