Saturday 3rd May – Gibraltar (Marina Bay)

Today there were no more excuses and the washing had to be done.  This was no mean feat as it has built up a bit – we don’t seem to have got to the stage where we wear only swimwear yet!  I’ve been at it all day and there’s still more to go.

The strong easterly wind today made keeping the washing on the line a bit of a challenge – fortunately we are fairly well sheltered from the easterlies here in Marina Bay, the westerlies are another matter L.

Three more mega-motor yachts (varying between XL and XXL in size) have arrived today; it is getting quite busy.  As said before, the good news is that they create a great wave break against any westerly swell J, the bad news is that they block the view across the bay L.  However, we suspect they will be on the move again once they have refuelled (cheap in Gibraltar) and the wind has eased.

Tonight we christened the fondue (courtesy of Wandering Dragon) having finally found some meths for the burner in the chandlery – this has been quite a challenge as we haven’t sorted out the Spanish for meths and could never see anything purple anywhere.
