Wednesday 19^th March – Chipiona

Today we got up early as we were going to move on the short distance to Rota this morning, the weather being due to close in this afternoon.  However, the weather was early – we arose to find heavy cloud had already arrived and so we abandoned the plan.  This was just as well as it soon started raining, which continued on and off all day, with the wind getting up strongly as well.

It ended up being a quiet day – I read a book and Richard went for a wander into town between the showers, returning with a few provisions.

This evening we can see lightning flashes in the cloud in the distance and hear the occasional rumble of thunder.
