Wednesday 12th March – Vila Real De Santo António - Ayamonte

Today we set sail for Spain … and arrived a few minutes later, pausing midstream to change our courtesy flag.

We motored across to Ayamonte this afternoon, once the tide and the wind calmed down a little and have settled on a hammerhead berth for a couple of days.

Ayamonte is good for restocking the larder so we have heard and, having not seen a large supermarket since Lagos, we will be testing this out tomorrow as we are down to minimal, healthy supplies, having few of the usual luxury items left.

We were pleased to welcome Moonshadow late this afternoon who arrived despite having a bit of engine trouble in the form of a broken fan belt., but now safely alongside.

They have lent us their trolley for our supermarket trip tomorrow to help our trolley.

Ships clocks are advancing forwards an hour tonight as we are now in Spain so it is time for bed – we will now be one hour ahead of UK time.
