Wednesday 5^th March – Alcoutim

Today we have stayed alongside at Alcoutim. The sky has been extremely clear and bright, but it has been a bit windier at times which has been quite cold.

It has been great just sitting on deck watching the world go by on the river.  As we approach Spring tides the flow on the river is getting stronger and there are more rafts of bamboo floating up and down the river.

Richard has cleaned the decks, clearing out the debris of the river from the anchor locker drain holes.

We visited the small local grocery store and restocked with a few provisions – we had been advised that they get their new stock of fruit and veg on a Wednesday so today was the day to go.

Later this afternoon we took the bikes for a cycle ride.  It is very hilly around here so we kept it short !
