Saturday1st March – Alcoutim

37:28.241N 7:28.238W

Today it was very hot and sunny with little wind – it feels as if summer has arrived (if only temporarily).  This morning we went to the local market (Saturdays only), which arrived at 10am and comprised a meat van, one fruit/vegetable stall and one fish stall.  The food was very fresh looking and we topped up on our supplies.

When I got back, I did some washing which dried very quickly in this heat.

This afternoon we went for a walk to the nearby beach, alongside a tributary to the river, and up to the castle from which the views were great.

In the morning we have to vacate the pontoon for 3 hours as Alcoutim is hosting a canoe regatta and need to be able to land the said canoes.
