Definitely very wet and windy here today.

At lunchtime, when the rain had stopped for a while, we went for a wander to the harbour entrance. As we went around the marina to the beach behind the Tivoli hotel, we came out of the shelter and into the full force of the wind as it blew down the coast – sand was airborne and streaming across the beach; there were breaking waves at the harbour entrance.  Richard ventured onto the beach and promptly returned having been sand-blasted.

So we headed back and, after re-setting some of the warps on Pyxis, carried on for a wander around the other side of the marina. Having posted some letters, we dropped by on Lynsy Lea for a cup of tea before returning back to Pyxis for lunch.

This afternoon I cut Richard’s hair (I had to brush the sand out first after his visit to the beach) and he is now closely cropped on top.
