Firstly, in response to Wandering Dragon’s implication that Pyxis’ stern may possibly looking big in this berth, let me assure our readers that Pyxis, whilst not being a size zero model, the enormously wide boat next to us means that there is not room for anything greater than a size 2, despite the length of the pontoon.  Well, that’s our story anyway – bring on that scrabble re-match! J

This morning Richard attended the computer club whilst I did some washing (suspect that I had more fun, though Richard says he enjoyed it).  As we are going to be around for a while, we then blew up the dinghy and Peter came to help lift the engine back on board.

Peter looked at our new electric lights in the saloon and immediately came up with a better way of fitting them.  Richard was despatched to the local ‘bricolage’ store with Peter to buy the required materials.  Richard came back with the materials and I wondered how long it would be before they would be fitted.  I needn’t have worried – within five minutes Peter was back with his tools and over the next half hour had, with only a tiny bit of assistance from Richard, constructed four excellent brackets to support the lights in their required position.  He then left Richard to finish fitting them, so maybe it will be a while after all.

After dinner this evening we visited Wandering Dragon for a drink as we had been invited along to a soiree to meet their friends from ‘Clemmy’.  After supping some port and wine, with some rather too tempting dips, we were treated to some home made fudge from ‘Clemmy’.  As they are going home shortly, it is good that Stephen has wrestled the recipe out of them, I can see some fudge fixes coming up soon!
