Early this morning we were awoken by the sound of rain on the deck and had to scramble around to close the hatches.  Fortunately it was only a shower, however, there have been large black clouds passing over all day blocking out the sun from time to time which has made it a little cooler.

Today I fished in an attempt to catch dinner, trying both a rod with float and line and dangling mackerel lures over the side.  Whilst I played hunter-gatherer, Richard went ashore on the dinghy to get fresh bread – the inflatable base in the dinghy is not as firm as it was yesterday but has stayed inflated so some further investigation is required.

Over the morning a large number of bright orange canoes paddled round to the beach along with a few small dinghies which sailed in; we now have a classroom sized bunch of teenagers on the beach playing games and swimming around, supervised by some big kids masquerading as adults; sounds like everyone is having great fun.

I failed to catch dinner but Richard said it didn’t matter as someone earlier had caught some tuna and put it in cans for us J.  So we had tuna pasta for dinner.  This evening some of the kids have been pulled at high speed through the anchorage on inflatables dragged behind large ribs; the only worrying thing was they kept on after dark and I just hope they see our anchor light and miss us.
