Today the wind seems to have had a go from all directions throughout the day, swinging Pyxis from east to west and back again.  This morning Richard re-inflated the high pressure base of the dinghy and it seems to have stayed up all day, though we haven’t used it yet.

It was a little cooler this afternoon, only early 30s, with even some cloud cover, and we thought this would be a good time to defrost the fridge as I can hardly fit anything on the top shelf because of the ice build-up.  Once done it was great to be able to fit in a lot more cans of drink (both beer and soft drinks).

We ran the generator for an hour to top up the batteries this afternoon; now we are anchored well out in the bay we don’t disturb anyone with it.  It is much more comfortable sitting out here; even when a yacht came and anchored on our inside during the afternoon, it didn’t feel too close.  The yacht went off again this evening, we are not sure where to as there aren’t many places to go around here.

After dark, a yacht arrived and tried to anchor near us (a very brave soul tackling the passages around the island after dark).  Unfortunately it couldn’t get its anchor to set due to the weed and so edged its way over to the yachts just across the bay and fortunately managed to anchor there.
