Late morning we went for a run further round the island on the dinghy to check out the next anchorage before crossing over to the mainland where we went ashore.  After a short walk we found the small supermarket our neighbour had told us about and bought some fresh bread for lunch.  On the way back we explored our bay before returning to Pyxis.

This afternoon Richard managed to get the generator working again – it had a blocked carburettor as it hadn’t been run for a while – just as a very large motor boat came and anchored far too close to us, particularly given the amount of space available around here.  Well, we juiced up the batteries for a couple of hours anyway.  We felt it served it right to have to listen to our noisy generator, especially as they had buzzed around us on a RIB towing a ringo for some time after they arrived, sending wash our way!  Having gone for a swim it sounded like they were running a generator themselves anyway, presumably for their air-conditioning. After a couple of hours we thought it was time to stop the generator.  We noticed that the motor boat was preparing to leave so we thought it best to let him go before we switched off; so we remained on deck.  Then, just as it left the anchorage, the generator ran out of petrol, right on cue J. Talk about timing!

This evening we have had dinner on board, finishing off the food from the barbecue last night.
