It was a grey day and we even had some rain this afternoon (for about five minutes).  Today Richard finished his book and connected up the water-maker so we are ready to use it when needed.  He then spent the afternoon connecting up the replacement regulator for the alternator.

This evening we went for a walk down to the beach to look at the swell but it was very quiet out on the water.  On the way back, there were a few drops of rain and the weather forecast has predicted rain and wind for this evening and overnight.

Consequently, we have had dinner tonight in the cockpit enclosure to the sound of torrential rain outside with a large side order of thunder and lightning (quite spectacular).  The wind is gusting over 30 knots and the really bad weather isn’t due until midnight – glad we’re not out there sailing at the moment!

This is the bad weather from the Atlantic that we have been expecting here for the last few days and it is certainly doing what it says on the tin.
