Saturday 11^th September – Messolonghi (Thunderstorms)

Today the rain started just before 9am, stopped briefly for the bread man, and continued heavily on and off all morning, sometimes with thunder and lightning accompaniment.  Electric Monk phoned to see where we were and to check on Lucky and Pipe Cleaner as they are still up in the Gulf of Corinth.

This afternoon it brightened a little and so Richard cycled off to the supermarket to re-stock whilst I unpacked and tidied away the packing from our trip with Blue Elephant.

The clouds have come and gone all day over the hills, as has the wind; the views over the hills have been quite dramatic at times.

Lucky is in the doghouse as he has managed to lose his new collar; presumed pulled off whilst playing with Marina.  He now has his old collar back on (Richard has punched an additional hole in it to make it bigger) plus another that Alberto had spare for Marina.

Early evening we caught up with Russell on Aqua Domus and then after dinner we had a few games of cards with Gavin and Kath.
