Monday 30th August – Messolonghi

We awoke this morning to the sound of the roller preparing the ground for the new hard standing area and the bread man arriving.  There was some cloud and it was a little cooler; it has been clear skies for some time now so cloud was a bit of a novelty.  It was also quite humid but this went during the day.

After feeding the animals, we caught up on the washing.  I joined the queue for the washing machine for the bedding and Richard tackled the rest of the laundry with our little twin tub.  By mid afternoon everything was dry and stowed.

Attention was then turned to the remaining fenders.  They are now looking pristine after a good scrub and rub with wax polish.  We have certainly had quite a few people stopping by for a chat whilst we have been working on them.

This evening Lucky turned up looking very pleased with himself having found an old football from somewhere.  Richard tried to teach him how to play football but Lucky was more interested in chewing it.
