Thursday 18th October – Lagos

37:06.657N 8:40.543W

A very early start this morning but we had a clear run to the airport, seeing virtually no other traffic until we were almost at the airport.  We shared the journey with another couple returning to the UK who were catching a flight back to Liverpool at about the same time.

The flight home with Easyjet was brilliant; there was no queue at check in, and we sat right at the front (lots of leg room) having a chat to the witty flight crew.  We then arrived at the carousel at Gatwick to find our luggage already waiting for us.  In all my years of business travel, it never went that smoothly.

With clear skies for much of the flight and a flight path up the Portuguese coast and then across the Bay to the French coast we were even able to spot many of the ports we stayed at en-route.

To cap it all, as we came out of customs, there was a ‘Pyxis Crew’ card up and Gill and Mark were hiding behind it, there to give us lift home.  A great day !

There will now be a break in our web diary whilst we are in the UK.  It will start again when we start passaging again.  Look out for more from us from around the 6th November.
