Friday 11th June – Khania, Crete

There has been hardly a breath of wind in the harbour today making for a hot and sticky day.  Offshore there have been quite strong northerly winds in the Aegean which have sent a northerly swell down to Crete; it is finding its way into the main harbour here, causing us to rock a bit even in the inner harbour.

We have continued acclimatising to the heat today, catching up with jobs and admin aboard Pyxis.  Richard has tracked down the nearest Carrefour so we are now restocked on essential provisions J

I had a wander around to the outer harbour wall this evening; the sea seemed quite smooth but then a yacht came in rocking all over the place.

This evening the quay is bustling with activity once again.
