Title: Halvveis

05:58.200S 115:35.600W

midt i Stillehavet.

Alt vel

In english

Yesterday was quite windy (had above 20 knots for about 30 hours) and seas
were a bit to high to be confortable. We had to reduce sail even more (we
still haven't got our mainsail up -it's been down for a week now :)). We are
sailing with genoa pooled out to starboard side (put the pole up a week ago
also, pretty lazy sailing). Yesterday, the waves from the side, pushed us so
far down, that the pole got in the water. There is always a risk that the
poole (or even worse, the shrouds) may brake i it gets into water when the
boat is having a good speed. So we went slow yesterday -poole is still
on -and in one piece.

Today, is really lovely conditions, around 15 knots -and sea is less rough.
Feels very relaxing sailing in calmer sea -and a lot easier to cook :)

At nightshifts we've started to make fresh water with our manual watermaker.
It's working excellent (and we get to move a body part (arm)...). Last night
we made 20 liters.

A big commercial ship with norwegian skipper passed us this morning ;) Thats
about all the happeninges we can think of.

Choosing a cake for our celebration (half way) today was very difficult. We
decided on brownies (a very big one, which has to be eaten within the day).
There is always a chance of new cake when we have 10 000 and 5000 miles
left. To top the celebration we had pizza for breakfast today :)

Regarding plan..... We don't actually have a plan anymore, and have decided
to sail against Fatu Hiva, on a course of 258. We saw some GRB files, and
whether wind is going to hold all the way seems 50/50, so we'll have to see
when we're about 300 miles from Fatu Hiva, wether we should head more
westerly at the end, or head straight on.
