Up at first light and underway for 0700 towards this lovely 'quiet'. Little passage of 60'odd NM taking best part of 9½ hours. On hook again for 16:30 this afternoon. We were able to sail for maybe just under an hour, otherwise on donk at 7kn. A timely arrival because the local gullets were just leaving and we were able to drop our hook same place where the last of 'em was anchored. Since then there's hardly and windies and just the occasional roll (like now!). Looking to move-on early again in the morning and should be at Kastellorizon for mid afternoon.
Ah yes. Gorra believe this. Yesterday afternoon I received 2 x emails enquiring how our Onan generator sea-water pump impeller was performing. Before going on-line I starter our generator to make some water & charge batteries. I had only just finished reading the two emails when our generator packed-in. Needless to say our sea-water pump impeller had chosen a surreal moment to throw it's hand in.... coincidence or what? I had been hoping it would be working faultlessly all the way to Kemer. Repaired before turning-in last night so no big deal eh?
Noticeably, once approaching Turkiye coastline the temperature is noticeably higher. Indeed it's a warm now as it was when we flew out end of August. Today we have been enjoying clear skies, bright sunshine and hardly any wind. It's lovely. Daytime temperature topped 30ºC and just now, 2 hours after dark still 26ºC. Bit warmer than at home eh?
