Moved here yesterday, on SW end of Nisos Skorpios, which is the private island, opposite the entrance to Nidri, owned by the Onassis family. We're in the SW bay, just E of the isthmus by what is known as Jackie Onassis/Kennedy's boat house.
When we dropped the hook here yesterday afternoon the bay was full of charter and flotilla boats. By sunset there was only us and one other boat. By morning only us!
Collette and Robert (s/y Condor) together with their guests came to visit us. After rafting-up we hopped on board for a quick chat & cold beer because they needed to move on to Nidri where they have direct walk-ashore access for their guests. Great to see them again and hopefully we'll meet up again soon. Condor looks really good too.
Cracking evening meal last night, courtesy of My Lover. Also enjoyed bottle of bubbly to wet baby Freya's head, so to speak! I also knocked over a full glass of rose in the cockpit for good measure, which Sue (this morning) cleaned the bits others didn't see in the dark. We also tried watching the Buck-Palace concert on BBC. Unfortunately our Vodafone dongle connection wasn't up to the task and after an hour or so of frustrating illusions we gave up and made ZZZ's
Minor repairs needed this morning. For the second time in less than a month I've needed to replace the electronic level switch, which controls the grey-waste water level in our aft heads. East to replace the switch although now I have none of these spares left. After several of these level switches failing in 3 years I think it's time to replace them with a 'quality' Rule float switch, which is considerably more reliable!
Have also now completed repairs to our Selden 300S Furlex (genoa furler) making sure NOTHING unintentionally goes swimming with the fish! All done waiting for the return of our illusive genoa, when Way Point Sails do their repair work and return our sail. Friday hopefully?
Due to meet-up with Trish and Mike - s/y Fraca3, some time today and intention is to follow them into a taverta pontoon they recommend in Little Vathi, Nisos Meganisi AKA "Wasp Island".
