Good morning My Lover. After a very pleasant 3-course evening meal, which included delicious smoked salmon steaks 'á la Aylin' on board s/y Cantana with Aylin & Goran, Like just about everyone else in Marina di Ragusa, I was woken at 0430'ish by BIG thunderstorms here accompanied by nasty winds gusting up to 40kts from the west, which puts them on every ones beam. I guess, like me, most people would have been up for a little while during this delightful blustery deluge with thunder with lightning all around (just like old times!). Since then we have low cloud, drizzle and sporadic T&L about so not really good for sailing. Will undoubtedly keep myself busy below decks today. On the good side the air temperature remains circa 22ºC and above and Ticketeeboo is very comfortable, except for the occasional ignorant stinkpot noggin going past causing an unsettling wake to us polite yachties!
Looking at the grib forecast there's little signs of the weather clearing up so the planned pontoon pot-luck tomorrow afternoon could be changed? We'll see. At least during the last week I've been able to bag our jib & genoa sails and service our generator and main engines, getting ready for the winter, so I'm well on target with regards to the work, which needs doing before I fly home on Friday.............. just 6 more sleeps to next honeymoon xxx
