Yet another daysail on the donk! Up at 0600 and promptly underway. That took a little longer than expected because our hook must have attached itself to the biggest load of seagrass imaginable and it took some time to rid our hook of the mound. Once free, we made good progress covering the 58NM in 10 hours. We were intending to go inside the breakwaters here at Adra. As we approached the spectacle of a dirty great commercial harbour surrounded by high-rise buildings made dropping hook outside a better prospect - provided we don't start rolling too much in the night? The Bosswoman (my Lover) favours an easy get-away from where we are now and regularly hints at wanting to do an overnight towards Gibraltar. Hence, when we up anchor from here it's towards Gibraltar next stop. Maybe 24 hours or so sailing should do the trick.
For now we're well dug-in to what appears to be a sandy bottom so won't be going anywhere 'till we're ready. Dinner tonight is 'filleted sardines' which we bought from the market, filleted by hand by a Sicilian fisherman (in front of us) when we visited Siracusa.
