This afternoon moved from Muros to Portosin, where we are now likewise on hook. We decided to make the move because the wind and fetch had gone to the SW overnight and Portosin offered calmer shelter for maybe next couple of nights. It was a whole 5NM to het here and we sailed as well! Lovely too. Fancy we will leae going ashore here until tomorrow because its five o'clock already now. How time flies when having fun!
The Muros festive 'fishing' celebrations and festival went generally as planned and the band played until after 0500 this morning. Fortunately, being on hook well over to the N meant we didn't get the worst of the noise although Sue is not amused to have lost most of her beauty sleep last night. Amusingly, Don 'g4eot' had arranged voice contact on SSB at 2300 last night (UK time). We were engrossed watching an episode of Vicar of Dibley and missed the time, or so we thought? We ended-up going to bed at about 11:30 and it was then I remembered 'missing' the agreed contact time. I'm in bed telling Sue when Sue said "But we're an hour ahead of UK" and so we are. So up I gets, a minute before midnight here and 2300 UK time. Turns the SSB on and selects the agreed frequency just at the moment Don 'g4eot' calls me! That's what I call good timing! Not only that, simultaneously, fireworks start exploding all around as Muros celebrates in style. We ended up in bed, for second time, at around
half past midnight after a good call and shoreside pyrotechnic entertainments.
All is well and to calibrate we're gonna have some of out fresh-caught Ticketeeboo tuna tonight, good eh?
Love to R,J,F,S,P,M,T & S xxxxxx
