We arrived back in Grenada just in time for the start of the “Spicemas”
carnival. Like other carnivals, this involves a lot of bands parading
through the streets. We had a prime viewing position from our berth in the
marina, which was good until we wanted to sleep.
The Spicemas celebrations have different themes on different days, but the
main processions are J’Ouvert on Monday and the Pageant Mas on Tuesday.
Bank holidays make it a four day weekend, to allow everyone to
participate.

paint

![]() I liked this group’s costumes. (The pretty pastel colours,
obviously.)

costume

looked like she was enjoying herself) |
