On Christmas Eve we took the tender into Soufriere town to go to a restaurant for dinner. Taking the tender was a mistake, we should have taken a water taxi and arranged for them to guard Anastasia while we were away. The thieves forced open a hatch and stole cash, mobile phones, watches, a camera, some new trainers, chocolate (except with almonds) and hairspray. About £2000 worth in all.

Everyone was a bit depressed on Christmas Day and we considered cancelling our lunch reservation at the exclusive Dasheen restaurant up between the Pitons, but fortunately we decided to go out anyway.

The food was excellent and the view from our table was stunning.

Everyone cheered up, despite most now being phoneless. It would have been a lot worse if our laptops or credit cards had been stolen.

Bertie and Estella posed for a photo in the cocktail bar after lunch.

Andrea and I are not so much posing as propping each other up.

Now we are anchored in Marigot Bay, where the original Dr Dolittle movie was filmed. Tonight we dine here at the Rainforest Hideaway, supposedly one of the top 10 restaurants in the Caribbean. It will have to be good to match up to the Dasheen.
