Today we took a short trip from Hamilton Island to Whitehaven Beach. The sand here is amazingly white and fine. Almost pure silicon dioxide. When you walk on it it squeaks.

So, of course, this meant that Anastasia's crew spent the first half hour on the beach doing zombie impersonations, shuffling around to make the sand squeak.

Bertie and Estella went for a swim in the 21 degree water. Not quite far enough north to tempt me or Andrea in for a dip.
