Sadly, the wind acceleration at the southern end of Dominica was more than
our old gennaker could handle and it blew out in a 25 knot gust, leaving us with
flapping shreds for the rest of the crossing to Martinique. (We do have a
replacement for it, we were just using the old one until we could bring
ourselves to throw it away.) Now is that time (although Andrea is talking
about making luggage out of the material so currently it is stuffed under the
table in the cockpit).
Not a lot to say about Martinique. It does have a big Carrefour, so
we could buy a new 240 volt vacuum cleaner and restock on confit de
canard.
